Preventing future eavestrough leaks is all about having the correct sealant. Many installers make the mistake of using any type of common silicone, without realizing that they have very short life expectancies being exposed to the ever-changing outdoor elements. This will result in cracking or peeling, causing leaks.

Our sealant, ”Gutter Seal” by Tremco, is made specifically for eavestrough, and is thick enough to outlast any competitor sealants. Made from a high-quality blend of synthetic rubber and resin, Gutter Seal maintains superior adhesion in aquatic conditions. “Bullet-proof!”

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

Roofline renovations have a variety of components that factor into different costs.   Is your place a 2-story home or a 1-story bungalow? Are there obstacles? Removal of old eavestrough?

One thing is certain- Nothing will cost more than waiting idle as issues with your old faulty eavestrough causes costly damages.

How long will the metal-work last?

All of the products that we install are made of durable aluminum. It is weatherproof, rust-proof, never needs to be painted, and will look just as good in 10 years as it does today. Aluminum gutters will last for a minimum of 20 years, and if maintained properly (aluminum eavestrough is low maintenance to begin with), you can easily get 40+ years out of your gutters.

What can happen if I wait to upgrade my eavestrough/repair leaks?

We get it- eavestroughs are boring. But many people overlook the vital importance they hold in keep water out of your home. A gutter’s main job is to direct water from your roof away from your foundation, walls, and roofline itself. Without them, or by keeping faulty eavestrough, you run the risk of water finding its way into your basement and walls, causing mold to grow, wood to rot, and foundation to crack.  These are all MAJOR problems that can occur, and not easy or cheap to undo.

How can leaks be repaired?

A variety of fixes exist for leaking eavestrough. Depending on the severity of the problems, having your eavestrough replaced with new ones may be the best course of action. However, smaller leaks on corners, end caps, or downspouts can be sealed with high quality gutter-specific silicone.

If water is leaking in BEHIND your gutters, this usually means your shingles are too short, or your drip edge isn’t installed properly. Luckily, our custom-made ‘L-shaped’ drip edge -shingle flashing- can be fastened underneath the shingles, to redirect water into your eavestrough. This can be done without taking down any eavestrough or shingles.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept e-transfer (preferably), cheque, & or cash- due immediately upon completion of the project. Down-payments are rarely necessary. We do not accept credit cards.
