5″ Continuous Eavestrough
What is it?
Eavestrough, or commonly known as ‘gutters,’ is the elongated metal tray that spans across the roofline of a house or building. Its main purpose is to collect rainwater that runs off your roof and direct it away from the home to prevent issues that can arise with flooding water. Gutters should not be overlooked, as they are an integral defense system on your home to avert flooding, leaking, rotting, and mold.
Our Service
At Trough Worx, our main priority is to ensure your home is outfitted with functional, proper draining eavestrough. Sometimes this means replacing old existing gutter systems that just don’t cut it anymore.
Downspouts are recommended at least every 40-50 feet of eavestrough, depending on the size of the roof. Options that exist for downspouts include standard size (2 ⅝”) which is typically good for most homes, or large pipes (3”) which can be installed if overflowing has been an issue in the past. Hangers spaced every 20”-24” and eavestrough to be levelled accordingly to allow water to flow and exit through the downspouts. All trough corners are mitered and sealed with Gutter Sealant, we do not use pre-made corners or strip-miters. We have a wide array of colours available, colour matching can be done prior to install. For a list of some of our colours, visit the PRODUCTS section on the HOME PAGE.
Soffit & Facia
What is it?
Soffit & Fascia are key components to protecting your roof rafters from the elements and pests, while containing heat inside your house. Both also offer the home a refined and finished look.
Soffit is what is underneath your roof overhang, either wood or aluminum. They provide adequate ventilation in order to keep your attics’ air quality high and prevent roof rot. Fascia boards span across your roofline attached to the face of your rafters. This is the board that eavestrough gets fastened to. Aluminum fascia goes overtop the wood fascia, capping it to provide the greatest protection and ensure maximum lifespan out of it.
Our Service
Aluminum Soffit, fascia, and eavestrough renovations are the best way to completely revitalize the look of your home while preserving the state of your roofline. We use tri-panel aluminum vented soffits and 6”- 8” aluminum ribbed fascia. Any wider fascia boards or notched gables can be capped with custom-bent aluminum fascia.
These projects require plenty of skill and can take anywhere from 1-4 working days depending on the size of your home. Trust Trough Worx to help transform your home! Satisfaction will be guaranteed.
Vinyl Siding
What is it?
Siding on your home protects the bones of your house from the outside elements such as rain, snow, and wind. In doing such, it also acts somewhat as an insulator to maintain temperature levels inside. Vinyl siding is a popular choice for the simple fact that it is a low-cost option for home-owners to protect their homes. With the right colour choice and trims, it looks fantastic too!
Our Service
Change the look of your home with some brand new vinyl siding. We use standard Double 4.5” paneled vinyl sheets. Refer to our colour selection or schedule a consultation for available siding colours.
Gutterguard
Purpose?
Gutter guards, or often called leaf guards, sit on top of your eavestrough to shield out any unwanted debris. This makes for a much more maintenance-free existence having to do with your gutters. With these, digging muck and grime out of your clogged eavestroughs become a thing of the past.

Our Service
We use Alu-Rex aluminum Gutter Guard products. These guards come in lengths of 7.5’.
Guards can be installed along with a new eavestrough install, or they can be applied to old existing eavestrough. If you are tired of the problems that obstructed gutters are causing you, maybe its time to switch to a guarded eavestrough system. Contact us for a free gutter guard estimate.
Cleanings
Purpose?
When eavestroughs fill up with debris such as leaves, seeds, shingle dust, and grime, it obstructs the flow of water from reaching the downspouts. This can cause ‘ponding’ in the gutters, which adds plenty of unnecessary weight on the trough and roof while also contributing to flooding and rotting. When gutters are full, water will find other routes to exit the eavestrough, which may mean it will splash over, or in behind the gutters. Water splashing over can mean flooding in your basement, whereas leaking in behind can mean flooding in behind your fascia and soffits, and eventually into your walls. If this is allowed to happen for long enough, it will require expensive repairs. All of this can be avoided with proper eavestrough maintenance.
